Our Early Learning Centre is an important part of the college community. During school term, Early Learners utilise the campus grounds and participate in shared sporting and other college events.
Being part of a larger college community provides Early Learners with opportunities at a younger age, including music, science, art, sport and language. With the popular Bush Kinder program and a focus on play-based learning, educators encourage creativity, curiosity and exploration every day. By fostering a love of learning in a positive environment at an early age, children are inspired to continue their lifelong journey of learning. Our students form friendships that continue from Early Learning through to Primary years and beyond. Every child is paired with a buddy from Year 5 and takes part in a wide range of fun and inspiring primary school activities. It’s all about feeling supported, secure and confident as part of a bigger community.
A pathway into Prep, delivered in partnership with the Primary School, ensures a smooth handover to Prep year when ready. Throughout the year, children develop school readiness skills through structured learning activities.
At Heritage College, we are interested not only in academic success but in setting our students up for life. That includes helping each student to discover the type of person they want to be, not just the type of job they want to have. Our values-based curriculum is at the very core of what we do.
Our primary teachers focus on the individual. They look to further each child’s strengths while providing support in other areas. Heritage College follows the Australian Curriculum with the addition of one subject, the Bible. We call it Encounter as it is our hope that every child will have an ‘encounter’ in their walk with God.
There are many opportunities to develop and extend your child’s skills, interests and capabilities at Heritage College. Athletics, Gymnastics and Swimming lessons are available for primary-years students, along with a range of team sports. We are also a member of School Sports Victoria, providing an opportunity for students who excel in a particular field to progress towards State Championships.
Heritage College also offers a vibrant Arts program in the Primary years. Students participate in a range of Performing Arts activities with the option to perform in the Student Band and Choir ensembles. Performances are held throughout the year to showcase student talent and musical development. In Visual and Media Arts, student artworks are proudly displayed around the college.
We believe that service to others matters. We recognise and commemorate annual days including Clean Up Australia Day, ANZAC Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and support several community projects. Our focus on service to others culminates in a Service Trip to Nepal in Year 12.

Incoming families with students in Year 6 are supported through a comprehensive Pathway to Secondary program, including Parent Information Sessions and Orientation Days.
Our values-based learning focuses on Excellence, Resilience, Respect and Service and we offer a diverse range of curriculum and co-curricular activities, including Outdoor Recreation, Sport, Performing Arts, Languages and other learning opportunities to accommodate your child’s interests. Secondary students participate and gain exposure to cultural activities via the Student Exchange Program, welcoming exchange students from Japan in Year 10. In the Senior Years, Heritage College offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) program.
Additionally, Senior Students are provided with the opportunity to have both local and worldwide impact through service trips and fundraising to promote character and values including the capstone Year 12 Service Trip to Nepal.
